Early morning busy streets and a calling bus
All she wants is to see red on the traffic light—
Hoping that there is something left between us;
Because today is something she barely fights.
If the world clock will be this fast and furious,
Then she hopes there’ll be another world she’ll see in a day
Somewhere that will be calm and curious
A world that will ask her, “How are you doing today?”
This world has lived in human-driven fantasies—
Where demands, pressure, and guilt should be felt
For once, she wants to rest and keeps her sanity,
And throw away all the care left and loosen her belt.
When this happens, she hopes you’ll understand
In the meantime, she wants to run and hide
Without a need to shrive on where she stands;
So air can embrace her to breathe and confide.
